Therapy with Me
I’m a licensed marriage and family therapist (LMFT) specializing in working with couples. My approach is a hopeful one, with a focus on looking forward to your desired outcome (whatever that outcome might be). If you’ve done couples counseling before and it hasn’t worked, expect this to feel different.
I specialize in brief treatment, which means I will not become the third wheel in your relationship, and you will not be in therapy on a long-term basis. Counseling is meant to work, which means you should feel a difference soon after starting. If you feel stuck in your relationship, make the decision to do something different.

How long will we be in counseling? And how often will we meet?
It’s different for every couple, but the model I use most is meant to be brief. That means you can expect to see me for 3-10 sessions over the course of a couples months. My goal is to get you quickly moving in the right direction — on a path that seems doable for both partners.
Sessions are on a weekly basis because – frankly – it’s more effective that way.
Where and how do we meet?
I meet with couples exclusively via Telehealth, so you can meet with me anywhere. And you and your partner do not necessarily have to be in the same place (though I always recommend it to start).
Are we ‘beyond saving’?
I get this question ALL THE TIME. And in almost all cases, the couple is nowhere near ‘beyond saving.’ It’s normal to feel despair after trying over and over to fix it yourself. If you’ve lost hope, you’re in the right place. Let’s do something different than you’ve been doing.
You published a Christian book, but are you open to couples with non-traditional views of marriage?
Absolutely! In a former job, I created a children’s religious program that emphasized loving your neighbor. Everyone loved it so much that they asked me to write a book about it. And I said yes! I support all couples having a relationship that works best for them, whatever that looks like.
